Inspired by the roaring success of HotaruCon's FireFly Lounge we bring you the Cheeky Cherry Cabaret 💃
Our very own Saturday Night cabaret lounge variety show. Non-competitive and cosplay-optional, the aim is to entertain!
Singing, dancing, poetry, magic, comedy, burlesque, drag, gymnastics, if you can do it...we'll see what we can do to stage it!
Applications are NOT first-come-first-served, this is a curated show by our very own Vice Chair and Master of Ceremonies, Kai!
For everyone else, you're invited to bring a drink, pull up a chair and enjoy a show like you've never seen before.
The Cherry Cabaret takes place after the Masquerade, all entrants will need to assemble in the Cabaret Green Room half an hour before the show begins. The green room will remain open before, and during the show with chairs, water and places to store your bags while you're doing your thing. You'll need to attend the Masquerade and Cabaret show briefing Saturday morning so we can check you in (you don't have to be in your show outfit though), take you through the set up, and tech check and make sure we have your details right. If you need to make any last-minute changes, this is your time to let us know! If you can't make the briefing because you're running a panel, or for any other reason, just let us know asap and we'll work something out.
You can enter both the Cosplay Masquerade and the Cabaret Lounge if you wish.
Confetti and bubbles are strictly prohibited. When planning your act please keep in mind others will use the stage after you so don't drop anything that can't be easily picked up. We'll have gophers on hand to help you set up and take down, you'll never be on your own, just let us know what support you need.
We'll be taking any specific backing music needs via email, just let us know a little bit about what you'll be submitting in the Song Request field.
