Our Commitment to Accessibility

♿ Making the convention accessible, inclusive and enjoyable is a priority for us in that order

♿ As a Committee we accept there are limitations to our lived experience and our research so we always welcome your perspective on ways we can make the event more accessible

Carer Tickets:

FREE Carer Tickets claimable by any Paid Attendee who requires a Carer

Send any of the Accepted Criteria from Section 1.9 of the Ts and Cs

We’ll send you a Complementary Registration Link!

Scheduling:

Complete Events Schedule will be available in iCAL, pdf and on our Website

Minimum 15 minute gaps between Events (except parties) so you don’t have to rush

Full Schedule also available in your ConBook

Room Access:

The venue has dipped curb at all major public entrances

All Event floors are accessible via lift

All Event rooms have step-free access from the public entrances and lifts

Queuing:

Accessibility needs can come to the front of any queue

If you want to be seated with your Carer you will be seated as soon as possible

If you want to be seated with you Group but cannot queue a Volunteer will find a seat or space for you to wait for your Group to reach the front of the queue

Stage Access:

Our Stage has safety railing on both sides and at the back

The stage is accessible via a ramp that supports light weight vehicles

If you need aid accessing the Stage during events and don’t have an attendant please let a Volunteer know or Event Organiser know and they will assign someone to assist you

Parties:

Strobe lighting is not used at our Parties

Seating is available in our Party rooms

Water will be available from the Bar and in the Party rooms where possible

Pease hydrate and take breaks as you need to enjoy the night!

Amenities:

FREE spray-on deodorant, pads and tampons will available in ALL Monarch bathrooms

Please spray sparingly and be conscious of those with asthma and other sensitivities

Quiet Space:

Want to have a break but don’t want to go up to your Hotel Room?

The Chill Room is intended to be used as a space for quiet and chill activities such as reading, crafting, colouring etc
